2020 - What a year!

Everyone wants their wedding to be memorable and not because of the circumstances surrounding it.

When I first spoke with Gagan & Gindy in July of 2020 we were in the grips of the COVID-19 pandemic and yet it was so exciting to be able to discuss and look forward to planning a wedding for the December thinking there was light at the end of the tunnel!

Gagan was living in Canada which always makes communication fun but ironically it was thanks to the pandemic and how everyone had turned to Zoom to facilitate meetings we were able to chat and discuss their plans with such ease!

In August after the lockdown was relaxed we were able to capture their engagement session in the grounds of the Heythrop Park Resort - this is just such an amazing venue. This grand Manor House is set in acres and acres of beautiful scenery which we explored (with the use of 2 golf buggies to assist with social distancing) to capture some great images.

Fast forward a few months to December and we're back under another lockdown, numbers at weddings restricted and these guys are left in a quandary - go ahead with limited friends and family or postpone to 2021.

They refused to let COVID disrupt their plans and pressed on ahead with their original date and allowed me to capture my 1 and only wedding of 2020! They also got around the issue of sharing with friends and family by live streaming the wedding via Zoom!

An awesome day with an amazing sparkler shot at the end to celebrate.

Sure it's not what was originally planned, but they had a really special wedding and it'll certainly be a day no one will forget!

Thank you guys for letting me share your COVID wedding with you!

Here's some shots from the day, I'm busy now moving existing couples and speaking to amazing new couples who are planning their weddings ahead, I can already feel that 2021 will be a better year for weddings - I hope so anyway, I've got my own this year! (On a new date, yep we fell 3 weeks the wrong side of the roadmap!)

Stay safe everyone!
