Aimie & Sam

In keeping with my drive to update my blog, here is another beautiful wedding from 2017 - this was Aimie & Sam's beautiful wedding in Rochford, Essex.

I first spoke with Aimie & Sam after they won a competition that Wedding Ideas Magazine & I were running, the prize being coverage of their wedding by me!

I met Aimie & Sam at their home and quickly learnt that Aimie was a fantastic baker! We spoke about their story, how they met and what they had planned for their wedding day and they certainly had some great ideas.

We arranged their engagement shoot at Hadleigh Castle which is an English Heritage site set in the South of Essex with some great views. A quick look at some of the shots from that:

Then it was on to their beautiful wedding day. I started with Aimie & her bridesmaids who were busy getting their hair and make up done when I arrived. I always like to take some time to capture the details while this is going on and then begin to capture the candid shots of everyone relaxing and enjoying the day unfolding.

Then onwards to the ceremony which was in easily the smallest church I've ever shot in, a very intimate service indeed! Made even better by the family pet who picked just the right moments to join in and then congratulate the Aimie & Sam.
As the happy couple emerged from within, they were greeted by a Scouting guard of honour, Scouting plays a significant part in both their lives so this meant a great deal to them and the emotion was obvious. A complete shock and a happy one for sure.

As we walked down the path to the confetti shot, I learnt that Sam's car door was broken - queue him climbing into it through the window!

Then we arrived at the reception venue which was on an equestrian centre camp ground, again bringing everything back to those Scouting roots. Their friends and family had worked tirelessly to get the marquees set up, BBQ fired up in the background and a teepee as a relaxation zone. The weather on the day was beautiful and I had such an amazing time capturing it for them.

First dance? Sure - Oops upside your head - DJ Casper! Brilliant way to get everyone involved!
